Iris Marie Lilly

Iris Marie Lilly, 79, of Chapmanville, WV, departed this life on June 29, 2018 at Dignity Hospice House, Chapmanville, WV.

She was born March 21, 1939 in Red Jacket, WV, the daughter of the late Earl Rutherford and Texie Biggs.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Peggy Balch, Margaret Ferguson, and Regina Niblock and one brother, James Niblock.

Iris enjoyed crocheting and her days at the softball field.

Those left to cherish her memory include five daughters, April Crowder (Jeff), Teresa Shadd (Russell Frye), Ellen Badger, Susan Badger, and Veronica Badger (David McNeely); two sons, Brian Lilly (Carolyn) and Chad Lilly (Melissa); one brother, Billy Rutherford; grandchildren, Sarah, Carolyn, Stacy (Hielee), John, Amanda, Jacob (Chelsea), Kelli, Hannah, Joseph, Verda, Jeanie, Kaydance, Destiny, Alaina, Lillian and Saydee; great-grandchildren, Chase, Zoey, Braden, Brice, Brett, Paisley, Rebecca, Grayson, Rosslynn “Rosie”, Zeppelin, Julissa and Juliah; and her wonderful neighbors and friends, Joe and Cathy Huff.

Services will be held at 12:00 pm Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at Freeman Funeral Home with John Freeman officiating. She will be laid to rest with her husband, Eddie Lilly Jr at Highland Memory Gardens, Old Logan Road, Chapmanville, WV.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 from 6 – 9 pm at the funeral home.
