Ida Marie (Porter) Lambert

Ida Marie Porter Lambert, 92 of Harts, WV, departed this life on July 28, 2020 at her daughter's residence.
 
She was born August 22, 1927 in Ranger, WV the daughter of the late Henry and Amanda Lucas Porter.
 
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Kevin "Cuz" Lambert, one infant daughter, three brothers, David "Cab" Porter, Robert "Ray" Porter, and Gilbert "Smoke" Porter, four sisters, Naomi Frye, Garnette Lambert, Pearl Shelton, and Opal Ferguson, one son-in-law, Kenneth Maynard, one granddaughter, one grandson and four great grandchildren.

Ida was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith.  She Never met a stranger and loved spending time with her family and friends.
 
Those left to cherish her memory include two daughters, Linda Maynard of Braeholm and Libby (David) Maynard of Braeholm; four sons, David (Carol) Lambert of River Bend, Ernest (Judy) Lambert of Harts, Avery (Patty) Lambert of Wayne, and Marcus Lambert & Shelly of Braeholm; two sisters, Mildred "Pickie" Porter Maynard and Alberta "Birdie" Porter Maynard; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild due in November; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Glenda Walls, Clara Damron and the staff and nurses of Dignity Hospice for all their help and kindness.
 
Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, July 31, 2020 at Freeman Funeral Home with P.J. Tomblin officiating. Burial will follow at the Lambert Family Cemetery at Mile Branch at Harts, WV.
 
Friends may call Friday, July 31, 2020 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at the funeral home. 
 
Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great-grandsons.
 
Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
