Herman Williams

Herman Williams, 80, of Logan, West Virginia, departed this life on Friday, June 1, 2018 at his residence.

He was born December 23, 1937 in Mount Gay WV, the son of the late John Williams and Inez (Rakes) Williams of Mudfork, WV.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Donald Ray Williams.

Herman enjoyed fishing, camping, he also did Responding with Santa with the Verdunville Vol. Fire Dept and preaching Gods Word.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of twenty five years, Patricia J. Williams; two daughters, Melisa (Carl) Harris and Samantha (Alex) Maynard; two sons, Robert G. (Jill) Adkins and Saul (Patricia) Williams; one brother, Lawrence Williams; and five grandchildren, Little Bobby Adkins, Landon Blake Adkins, Scottie Maynard, Brittany Williams and Zachary Williams; his dog, Scrappy his four legged companion.

Services will be held at 12:00pm, June 6, 2018 at the Mud Fork Freewill Baptist Church with Mike Mullins and Elbert Collins Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at the Frye Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 from 6:00pm to 10:00pm at Mud Fork Freewill Baptist.

Pallbearers will be Carl Harris, Anthony Pelkey, Chuckie White, Steven Stone, Kenny Williams and Scottie Maynard. Honorary Pallberers will include Wandle Meeks, Alex Maynard, George Deer and Gilbert Collins.

Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
