Helena Lee Maynard

Helena Lee Maynard , 69 of Harts, WV, departed this life on May 5, 2022 at Winston- Salem, NC.

She was born August 17, 1952 in Logan, WV the daughter of the late Dave and Sarah Lucas.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Milton Maynard, one grandson; Austin Carter, her in-laws; Parker and Elvie Maynard.

Helena enjoyed playing domino's with her cousins and spending time with her grandchildren. Most importantly she enjoyed her time at the Harts Senior Citizen Center.

Those left to cherish her memory include two daughters; Catherine D. Maynard Bennett and Helena Christina Maynard-Carter, two sons; James E. Maynard and Jerry R. Maynard, one sister; Irene Lucas Manns, one brother; David C. Lucas, grandchildren; Grant Maynard, Luther Adams, Caleb Adams, Breanna Maynard (Caleb Robinson), Seth Maynard (Makenzie Porter), Thomas Lucas, David Lucas, Jerica Maynard, Taylor Carter, Morgan Carter, James Carter, Jazmine Manso, great grandchildren; Brantley Maynard, Kimber Robinson, Sydnee Maynard, and Tallon Maynard. Special Friends; Ona McCoy, Shirley Manns, Sherrie Tackett, and many more loved ones.

Services will be held at 12:00 PM, May 12, 2022 at Freeman Funeral Home with Rev. Ernie Vance officiating. Burial will follow at the Nester-Wiley Cemetery.

Friends may call May 11, 2022 from 6:00P.M. to 9:00P.M at the the funeral home

Pallbearers will be James Maynard, Jerry Maynard, Dave Lucas, James Carter, Caleb Robinson, Seth Maynard, and Rick Maynard.
