Helen Louise Wiley- Stowers

Helen Louise Wiley Stowers, 80 of Chapmanville, WV, departed this life on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at her residence.

She was born March 9, 1941 in Big Creek, WV the daughter of the late William Purkey and Ella Pritchard Purkey.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her in-laws, Keister Wiley Sr. and Virgie Ellen Farley; her first husband, John K. Wiley; three sisters, Chank, June, and Ruth; four brothers, Snooky, Bill, Alvie, and Emmett; her son, Kenneth “Butch” (Lucinda) Wiley; and her grandson, Joshua Porter.

Helen enjoyed watching her grandchildren play sports, taking care of others, and spending time with family.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Scottie Stowers; three daughters, Connie (David) Porter, Devetta (Jimmie) Berry, and Ladonna Wiley; one son, David Clay (Lisa) Wiley; one sister, Tiny; one brother, John; 7 grandchildren, Priscilla (Darrell) Farmer, John Porter, Nicholas (Brittney) Porter, David Wiley, Dylan (Sarah) Wiley, Devin (Sydney) Wiley, and Talya (Clinton) Parsons; thirteen great-grandchildren, Trint Kirkendoll, Josh Porter, Darren Porter, Tanner Porter, Gracie Porter, Kensley Wiley, Cullen Wiley, Liam Wiley, Dillon Wiley, Mila Parsons, Ian Parsons, Natalie Parsons, and Owen Parsons; special family, Dony Stowers, Josh Stowers, and Jim Stowers.

Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, October 25, 2021 at Anna Queen Cemetery at Ferrellsburg, Harts, WV with Bethel Purkey officiating.

Friends may call Monday, October 25, 2021 from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM at the Anna Queen Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be David Wiley II, Devin Wiley, Zach Belcher, Todd Terry, Joey Stevens, and Derek Bassadre. Honorary Pallbearers will be Nicholas Porter, John Porter, and David Wiley I.
