Helen A. Blankenship

Helen A. Blankenship, 91 of Mt. Gay, WV, departed this life on November 11, 2020.

She was born August 2, 1929 at Twelve Pole, WV the daughter of the late Earnest & Hazel Hicks Hardin.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ron Blankenship, daughter, Carrol Smith, son, Johnny R. McCloud, brother, L.C. “Charles” Hicks, sister, Margie Kinser, son-in-law, Edward Smith and step-mother, Bertha Maynard; one God-daughter.

Helen enjoyed going to church and loved all of her animals. She was a Registered Nurse for Logan Regional Medical Center.

Those left to cherish her memory include her three grandchildren, Chris (Diania) Smith, Rhonda (Pat) Martin and Gina McCloud; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Billy (Katie) Hicks; and her special friends, Sandy & Buck Lukacs, Carol Sue Copley and Roger Scott.

Services will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday, November 14, 2020 at Freeman Funeral Home with Michael Hartwell officiating. Burial will be private.

Friends may call Saturday, November 14, 2020 from12:00pm until 1:00pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
