Hansel Robert Raikes

Hansel Robert Raikes, 55, of Huntington, WV, departed this life on October 9, 2021 at his residence.

He was born March 10, 1966 in Logan, WV, the son of Geraldine Workman and the late Claude Raikes.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Thompson and his grandmother, Dora Adair Johnson.

Robbie enjoyed doing carpentry work and took pride in his accomplishments. He loved animals, his children and family very deeply.

In addition to his mother, those left to cherish his memory include three daughters, Haley Raikes of Huntington, Ashley Raikes and Jennifer Raikes both of Princeton; one son, Travis Raikes and his wife Candida of Chapmanville; one sister, Georgia Pelfry of Huntington; three brothers, Thomas Adair and his wife Anita of Logan, Dale Raikes of Huntington and John Doss of Logan; and his eight grandchildren, Lydia Short, Elijah Short, Kimberly Short of Princeton, Parker Lambert, Abagail Lambert and Andrea Lambert of Princeton, Cayden Raikes and Zoey Raikes of Chapmanville.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
