Gregory Michael Vance

Gregory Michael Vance, 55, of Defiance, OH, departed this life on January 26, 2021 at the Toledo Hospital, Toledo, OH.

He was born May 30, 1965 in West Hamlin, WV, the son of Isaiah Vance, Brenda (Dingess) Vance and the late Adeline (Ramey) Vance.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, James & Anne Vance and Willie & Flora Ramey and eight aunts and uncles, Jerry Ramey, Larry Ramey, James E. Vance, Jewel Ramey, Cookie Vance, Eugene Maynard, Geneva Ramey and Monroe Ramey.

Gregory enjoyed bowling and was an avid Reds fan and billiards player.

In addition to his parents, those left to cherish his memory include five sisters, Teresa & Robert Eaton, Regina Dix, Brenda & Andrew Meeker, Anna & Chris Hanel and Kimberly Vance; his brother and best friend, Rickey Vance; many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews; and a long list of special aunts and uncles.

Services will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Freeman Funeral Home with Andrew Williamson officiating. Burial will follow at the Browning Cemetery, Harts, WV.

Visitation will be on Saturday, January 30, 2021 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Nikalous Hanel, Kaden Crites, Kaven Eaton, Robby Eaton, Robert Eaton, Chris Hanel and Timmy Maynard.

Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
