Granville "Spot" Harrison Murphy

Granville Harrison “Spot” Murphy, 68, of Pinson Fork, KY formerly of Dingess, WV, departed this life on November 9, 2021 in Kentucky.

He was born September 29, 1953 in Kermit, WV, the son of the late Harrison and Anna Mae Murphy.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Granville & Ida Spaulding and CC & Rose Murphy.

Spot enjoyed going to church, gun trading and horse trading.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Linda Coley; daughter, April Murphy; son, Shawn (Michelle) Murphy; sisters, Sue (Michael) Beavers and Sharon (Steve) Brock; three brothers, Terry (Lynn) Murphy, Tony Murphy (Kim Stennett) and Harold (Alice) Murphy; grandchildren, Larissa Gaylock (Gabe Crile), Trevin Gaylock, Shaunda (Jordan) Cisco,, Shaela Murphy and Josie Murphy; great-grandchildren, Joel Cisco, Evie Cisco and Elsie Cisco; and special friend, John Kinney.

Services will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday, November 20, 2021 at the Cornerstone Christian Center at Dingess, WV with Jerry Graham and Eddie Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens, Old Logan Road, Chapmanville, WV.

Visitation will be on Saturday, November 20, 2021 from 12:00pm until 1:00pm at the church.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Schaller, Gabe Crile and other family and friends.

Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
