Giddings "Henry D" Meeks

Giddings “Henry D” Meeks, 75, of Harts, WV, departed this life on April 4, 2021 at his residence.

He was born January 26, 1946 in Harts, WV, the son of the late Jesse and Alma Jean Meeks.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, General & Carrie Meeks and Burt & Sena Combs, two brothers, Jesse Meeks Jr and Eddie Dean Meeks, three sisters Levetta Hays, Rita Kay Earl and Judy Hodge and his father and mother-in-law, Richard & Demi Paulsen.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 57 years, Sarah Meeks; two daughters, Tammy & Grover Dalton and Gretta & Rick Cantrell; three sons, Chris & Missy Meeks, Greg & Becky Meeks and Adam & Juliet Meeks; four sisters, Loretta Dunlap, Rose Mary Garen, Aretta Loveington and Patricia Hill; two brothers, George Hodge and William Boe Meeks; twelve grandchildren, Christopher, Shian, Max, Shelby, Jaala, Caleb, Brandon, Nash, Phoenix, Bella, Ivy and James; seven great-grandchildren, Memphis, Haven, Gage, Zeppelin, Demi, Azariah and Asher; his special friends, Herby Bryant, Steven Perry, Larry Browning, David Browning, AJ Thompson, and Kay Adkins; and a host of church family.

Services will be held at 2:00pm, Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Jason Adkins officiating. Burial will follow at the Vance Cemetery, Harts, WV.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 from 12:00pm until 2:00pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be his sons and grandsons.
