Gerald Stephen Risko, 57 of Logan, WV, departed this life on November 9, 2024, at Cocoa Beach, FL.

He was born March 2, 1967, in Logan, WV, the son of Linda Risko and the late Gerald Risko.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Victor and Nancy Risko; maternal grandparents, William and Tennessee Turner; father-in-law, Sahit Sahiti; and brother-in-law, Ed Hatfield.

Steve enjoyed fishing, working in the garage and vacationing on cruise ships. He really enjoyed helping people. He cherished spending time with his family and loved spending time with his son, Arben. He got his nursing degree at Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College. He worked as a truck driver for Praxair for 15 years. He served in the Navy for 6 years and served in Desert Storm.

In addition to his mother, those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Pranvera Risko; sons, Arben Risko, Jerry Risko (Rayna Crawford) and Greg (Mitshi) Risko; his special dog, Mika; sisters, Michelle Hatfield and Stephanie Burgess; grandchildren, Sam Risko and Cici Risko; special cousin, Thomas Risko; cousins, Vicky Smith and Bob Florio; niece, Chelby Miller (Paul Nowinski); great niece, Naomi Nowinski; and mother-in-law, Rabije Sahiti.

Services will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday, November 23, 2024, at Freeman Funeral Home with Jimmy Carter officiating.

Visitation will be on Saturday, November 23, 2024, from 12:00pm to 1:00pm at the funeral home.
