Gerald B. Kincaid

Gerald B. Kincaid, age 91, of Logan, WV went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Logan Regional Medical Center.

He was born January 18, 1930 in Holden, WV, the son of the late Albert and Ada (Dempsey) Kincaid.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two wonderful and loving wives, Tave (Parsley) Kincaid and Janet (Trent) Kincaid, brothers, Clifford, Charles, Eugene “Johnny” and Delmar Ray Kincaid, sisters, Pauline Dempsey, Geneva (Lucian) Brown and Betty Lou Kincaid, daughter, Vanesa (Rocky) Grooms.

Gerald was an avid fisherman and hunter. He loved being out in the mountains or on a lake fishing. Gerald was a loving husband, son, father, brother, uncle and friend. He was also a retired coal miner of 46 years and a veteran of the Korean War. Gerald was a member of the Maryetta United Baptist Church.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Jewel (Ray) Mullins, Tim (Sandra) McCoy both of Chapmanville, and Susan (Roger) Moore of Dorchester, SC; brother, Irven Kincaid of Richlands, VA; grandchildren, Roger Brandon (Allison) Moore of Charlotte, NC, Tiffany McCoy of Logan, WV; great grandchildren, Malachi McCoy and Kaylee Bannister; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Services will be held at 12:00pm, Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Lonnie Gore officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens, Old Logan Road, Chapmanville, WV.

Visitation will be on Saturday, January 15, 2022 from 11:00am until 12:00pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Rick Sexton, Roger Brandon Moore and members of his church.

Honorary pallbearers will be Daniel Adams, Norman “Gene” Price, Doran Brown, Rufus Diamond, Danny Price and Robby Price.

Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
