George Lewis Canterbury

George Lewis Canterbury, 46, of Chapmanville, WV, departed this life on April 3, 2022 at Chapmanville, WV.

He was born July 30, 1975 in Logan, WV, the son of Judy Beckett Turner and the late George Canterbury.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Wetzel Beckett, Dora Hensley Fisher, Rudolph V. & Lula Canterbury.

George loved being outdoors with a beer in his hand, working on everything and standing beside a fire. He also enjoyed hunting deer and fishing.

In addition to his mother, those left to cherish his memory include one daughter, Cheyann Canterbury (Zack Cline); one son, George Taylor Canterbury; one sister, Tonya McIntire Canterbury; and one granddaughter, Lilith Raylyn Canterbury.

Memorial services will be held at 7:00pm, Monday, April 11, 2022 at Freeman Funeral Home.

Memorial visitation will be on Monday, April 11, 2022 from 6:00pm until 7:00pm at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Freeman Funeral Home to help with arrangements.
