Geneva Dempsey Baisden

Geneva Dempsey Baisden, 81 of Chapmanville, WV, departed this life on May 21, 2021 at the Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston, WV.

She was born August 10, 1939 in Harts, WV the daughter of the late Oba and Martha Dempsey.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Baisden, Sr., four brothers and sisters, George Washington Dempsey, Thomas Jefferson Dempsey, Norma Dalton and Lorene Browning.

Geneva was a devoted Christian attending Chapmanville Church of Christ. She loved spending time with her family especially her granddaughter.

Those left to cherish her memory include one son, Donald Baisden, Jr and his wife Drema of Chapmanville; one special granddaughter, Jeanette Rose of Chapmanville; one brother, Jasper Dempsey of Whitman, WV; and her special niece, Della Faulkner of Jacksonville, FL.

Services will be held at 2:00pm, Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at Freeman Funeral Home, with Johnny Steele officiating. Entombment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens, Old Logan Road, Chapmanville, WV.

Friends may call Wednesday, May 26, 2021 from 12:00pm until 2:00pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be friends and family.
