Obituary
Gene Wilson Dingess, 79, of Chapmanville,WV, departed this life on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at Logan Regional Medical Center.
He was born April 11, 1944 in Harts, WV, the son of the late Birdie and Turner Dingess.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his sisters, Mildred Thacker, Madeline Booth, and Liz Dingess; brothers, Leonard and Tom Dingess.
Gene enjoyed working in the garden and tending to his honey bee's.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Rachel Lee Dingess; one special nephew, John (Erica) Lycans; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at Freeman Funeral Home with Reverend Manasses Hensley Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Workman Fork Cemetery, Harts, WV.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm at Freeman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
