Gary Dale Spurlock

Gary Dale Spurlock, 69, of Chapmanville, departed this life on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at Logan Regional Medical Center.

He was born July 16, 1951 in Hamlin, WV, the son of the late Damon & Irma Spurlock.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Damon Spurlock Jr. and James Earl Spurlock; one grandson, Evan Ryder Spurlock; and the mother of his kids, Barbara Spurlock.

Gary enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandkids, he was the owner and operator of Lightning Contract Services Inc. and Copperas Coal Corp. Gary was also a 32nd degree Mason.

Those left to cherish his memory include one daughter, Jeana (Reid Ramey) White; two sons, Gary Steven (Stacie) Spurlock and Christopher Aaron (Mallori) Spurlock; two sisters, Betty Lou Spurlock and Linda (Steve) Disco; grandkids whom he loved as his own, Dylan Hill, Jace and Eli Stevenson, Tripp and Quinn Ramey, Cason Board, Macie and Jaxton Spurlock, Maddox and Liam Spurlock.

A walk through visitation will be on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 from 1:00pm till 2:00 pm at Freeman Funeral Home of Chapmanville. Burial will follow at Lovejoy Cemetery, Spurlockville, WV.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
