Gary Lynn Peterson, 68, of Chapmanville, WV, departed this life on December 29, 2020 in Lexington, KY.

He was born February 9, 1952 in South Charleston, WV, the son of the late Ernst & Hazel Maxine Peterson.

Gary enjoyed spending time with family, reading and helping others.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Elizabeth Lucas Peterson of Chapmanville; his six children, Shawn (Jodi) Peterson of Texas, Bradley (Bridget) Peterson of Tennessee, Hannah (Travis) Parsons of Charleston, Stephen (Angie) Peterson of Dunbar, Matt (Jodi) Stollings of Chapmanville and Sarah (Joey) Mitchell of Davin; one sister, Sharon (Ray) Poe of South Carolina; thirteen grandchildren, along with his fur babies, Callie and Cuda.

Memorial service will be held at a later date.

Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
