Gary Bryant

Gary Bryant, 69, of Harts, WV, departed this life on September 3, 2020 at his residence.

He was born December 2, 1950 in Logan, WV, the son of Minnie Bryant and the late Donald Bryant.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, General & Mary Bryant, and Bird & Narrie (Spence) Bryant, in-laws, Lucian “Jack” Lucas & Blanche Lucas; special friends, AJ Lycans and Leslie Blevins; and his aunt, Joanna Bryant.

Gary enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding four wheelers, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of the Chapman Memorial Freewill Baptist Church.

In addition to his mother, those left to cherish his memory include his wife Phyllis A. Bryant of Harts; sons, Mike (Missy) Bryant of Barboursville, Kevin (Jill) Bryant of Chapmanville and Dustin (Ashley) Bryant of Harts; four brothers, Ronnie (Phyllis) Bryant, James Bryant, Danny (Phyllis) Bryant and Terry (Joy) Bryant; grandchildren, Jacob Bryant, Kelcy Bryant, Emma Bryant and Garrett Bryant; step-grandchildren, Hadlee Lucas, Harper Lucas and Henry Tice; special family members, Janice (Bill) Kirk, Larry (Linda) Lucas, Elmer (Debbie) Lucas, Lucian (Bobbi) Lucas, Jim Bryant and Pamela Britz; special friend of, Roger Bias and Red Bowers.

Special thanks to Dignity Hospice, and especially Nurses Rusty Booton and Thomas Blair for the exceptional care and kindness shown to Gary and his family.

Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at Freeman Funeral Home with Jody Harless and Joe Triplett officiating. Burial will follow at the Mountain View Lucas Family Cemetery, Harts, WV.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 from 12:00 til 1:00 pm at Freeman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Lucian Lucas, Elmer Lucas, Larry Lucas Jr., Lonnie Lucas, Jacob Bryant, Mark Lucas, Chad Lucas, Billy Kirk and Scott Kirk.

Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
