Freddie “Hawk” Adams, 83 of White Oak, departed this life on May 9, 2024 at his residence.

He was born March 19, 1941 in Chapmanville, WV the son of the late Tom & Eura Adams.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters, Blanche Weekley, Annie Mullins, Gillis Adams, Carol Richards, Freelin Adams and Barb Adams, father-in-law, Woodrow Abbott and his mother-in-law, Delia Mayhorn.

Hawk was a UMWA coal miner who loved coon hunting and fox hunting with his friends. He also loved cooking, listening to music and spending time with his family.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Linda Adams; daughter, Cheryl (Brent) Baker; son, Freddie (Angel) Adams; brother, Reb (Hazel) Adams; four grandchildren, Amanda (Shane) Likens, Brittany (Josh) Ooten, Skylar Adams and Maverick Adams; seven great-grandchildren, Nevaeh, Cayson, Sawyer, and Tanner Likens, Alexis, Aaliyah, and Isaac Ooten; and a host of nieces and nephews, other family and friends.

Services will be held at 2:00pm, Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at White Oak Church of Christ with Rev. Manasses Hensley, Jr officiating. Burial will follow at the Adams Cemetery, Chapmanville, WV.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 from 6:00pm until 9:00pm at the church.

Pallbearers will be Josh Ooten, Shane Likens, Brent Baker, Freddie Adams, Ken Adams and Steven Hepler.
