Franklin Delano “Dee” Wiley, 88 of Harts, WV, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, January 17, 2025, at his home. Dee was under the care of Dignity Hospice in Chapmanville, WV.

He was born November 14, 1936, in Harts, WV, the son of the late Roosevelt and Hester (Nelson) Wiley.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Tony Wiley; great granddaughter, Audrey Wiley; sisters, Elsie Kinder-Estep, Irene Dalton and Linda Wiley; brothers, Ernie Wiley and Eugene Wiley.

Dee was a long-time member of 14 Mile Church of Christ. He was always helping his family, friends, neighbors or anyone who needed help. He was also a carpenter by trade.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 67 years, Anna Mae Wiley; two daughters, Shelia (Danny) Bolding and Dorothy (Jim) Shumate; two sons, Troy (Tawana) Wiley and Philip (Nettie) Wiley; two sisters, Della (James) Noll and Ona Mae (Arelie) Dalton; three brothers, Johnny Wiley, James Odell Wiley and Bill Wiley; daughter-in-law, Andrea Wiley; 10 grandchildren, Jeramy, Melissa, Brian, Jimmy, Caiti, Abby, Heather, Philip D., Matthew and Ashley; five great grandchildren, Alexia, Tony, Joseph, Caleb and Chloe; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

The family would like to thank Dignity and to say a special thank you to caregivers, Brian, Miranda, and Andrea Wiley, and to Rebecca Adkins for Every meal she cooked for Dee and Anna.

Services will be held at 12:00pm, Friday, January 24, 2025, at Freeman Funeral Home with Bethal Purkey and Page Freeman officiating. Burial will follow at the Wiley- Dalton Cemetery, Harts, WV.

Visitation will be on Friday, January 24, 2025, from 10:00am to 12:00pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Brian Wiley, Jeramey Wiley, Philip D. Wiley, Matthew Wiley, Miranda Wiley and Lucas Adams.
