Franklin Doss, 92 of Logan, WV, went home to be with the Lord on July 24, 2025 at his home.

He was born May 18, 1933 in Logan, WV the son of the late Holland & Rommy Doss.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Vennie Doss, son, Lonnie Doss, grandson, Timmie Lee Deskins, and brothers, Lee Doss and Ott Doss.

Franklin loved reading his bible, walking in the mountains, gathering firewood, discussing the Bible and spending time with his family.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughters, Sherry (Timmie) Deskins of Pecks Mill, WV, Jill (Ervin) Dingess, Wendy (Paul) Beauchamp both of Chapmanville, WV and Elizabeth (Allen) Whisenant of Hokes Bluff, AL; four sons, Eddie (Nancy) Doss of Chapmanville, Jeff (Robin) Doss, Andy (Tina) Doss both of Hoke Bluff, AL and Rick (Patsy) Doss of Lincoln, AL; daughter-in-law, Arnetta Doss; he was blessed with many grandchildren, and great grandchildren; and his special friends, the Dalton family.

Services will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, August 2, 2025 at Freeman Funeral Home with Greg Dalton officiating. Burial will follow at the Adams – Doss Cemetery, Chapmanville, WV.

Visitation will be on Saturday, August 2, 2025 from 12:00pm until 2:00pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Lonnie Allen Doss, Derek Bryant, Moss Vinson, Phillip Morgan, Josh Doss and Aaron Doss.

Honorary pallbearers will be Daniel Doss, Paul Beauchamp, Landon Bryant, Dusty Vinson, Jeremy Deskins, Christopher Whisenant, Austin Whisenant and Travis Beauchamp.

Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
