Florene Mann Lucas, 89 of Harts, WV, departed this life on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at her daughter's residence, surrounded by family in Ferrellsburg, WV.

She was born November 26, 1934 at Manns Knob, Harts, WV the daughter of the late Jinks and Gracie Mann.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 64 years, Herbert Lucas, sisters, Nadine Browning and Arlene Lucas, brothers, Hershel and Plez Mann and her father and mother-in-law, Earnest and Minnie Lucas.

Florene enjoyed going to church, shopping, cooking, traveling and reading her Bible. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and watching her grandchildren play sports. Florene was our family prayer warrior and always had a smile on her face.

Those left to cherish her memory include her four children, Dwayne & Vikki Lucas of Shippensburg, PA, Mike & Roxanne Lucas of St. Charles, MO, Jeff Lucas of Chesapeake, OH and Beth & Andy Williamson of Ferrellsburg, WV; a special stepson, Will & Betty Porter and family of Waynesville, NC; one sister, Doris Carol Mann of Florida; four brothers, Carl (Linda) Mann of Florida, Earsel (Cindy) Mann of North Carolina, Caudle (Leslie) Mann of Chapmanville and Glenn Mann of Harts; grandchildren, Jessica (Travis) Reasner, Alena (Rickey) Tomblin, Jennifer Lucas, Gryphon Lucas, Michael Jordan Lucas, Nicole (Brett) Baker, Whitney (Nelson) Ward, Jill Lucas, Andrea (Corey) Sublett, Paul Herbert (Danielle) Williamson, Drew Williamson and Ali Williamson; great grandchildren, Eliana, Liryn and Lundyn Reasner, Rickelle and Zade Tomblin, Anna, Madelyn and Michael Lucas, Emma, Kinsley, and Tripp Baker, Jaxon Seay, Lennox, Huxton, and Bronx Sublett and Declan Williamson; sisters-in-law, Janet Lucas, Deloris Bradley and Brenda Workman; brother-in-law, Terry (Terri) Lucas; special friend, Violet Dempsey; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

Services will be held at 2:00pm, Monday, May 13, 2024 at Freeman Funeral Home with Eric “Tubby” Rakes officiating. Burial will follow at the Manns Knob Cemetery, Harts, WV.

Visitation will be on Monday, May 13, 2024 from 12:00pm until 2:00pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Michael Lucas, Paul Williamson, Drew Williamson, Gryphon Lucas, Corey Sublett, Ricky Tomblin, Travis Reasner and Nelson Ward.
