Fay Elaine Green, 81 of Jeffrey, WV, formerly of Blair, WV, departed this life on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at her residence.

She was born August 16, 1944, in Ethel, WV, the daughter of the late Oscar “Dock” Spurlock and Bessie Pearl Holstein.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her late husband, William “Ed” Adkins; and one brother, Jimmy Spurlock.

Fay enjoyed going to church and being a member of Jeffrey Church of God, spending time sitting on the swing with her husband, Thearmon Green, watching soap operas and wrestling. She loved talking on the phone with her best friend, Ruth Hannah, along with spending time with her family and friends.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 21 years, Thearmon Green of Jeffrey, WV; one daughter, Drema (Freddie) Hannah of Crawley, WV; one son, Scottie Adkins of Jeffrey, WV; two grandchildren, Richard (Teresa “Red”) Adkins and Christy Adkins (Raymond Stanfield); 7 great-grandchildren; three special nieces, Anita “Niney” Nelson, Karen Sue Nelson, and Stephanie Ward; one special dear friend, Ruth Hannah; and a multitude of nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 1:00pm, Monday, September 15, 2025, at Freeman Funeral Home with Bobby Adkins and Billy Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at the Forest Lawn Cemetery, Pecks Mill, WV.

Visitation will be on Monday, September 15, 2025, from 11:00am to 1:00pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Freddie Hannah, Richard Adkins, Wayne Johnson, Dave Mooney, and Joseph Garrett.
