Faith Leah Lucas, 66 of Harts, WV departed this life on September 11, 2023 at Cabell Huntington Hospital.
She was born April 28, 1957 in West Hamlin, WV the daughter of the late Archie Butt and Mabel Hatfield Lucas.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Watson and Jane Spry Lucas and Willie and Eliza Bradberry Hatfield; sisters, Marie Dawn Lucas and Janet Lucas Hysell; brothers, Willie Watson Lucas and Larry Lucas; brother-in-law, Doran Lambert; and cousin, Arno “Sam” Lucas.
Faith enjoyed time with family, shopping, watching movies, and hanging out with nieces and nephews. She liked to work, starting with Chapmanville bank and continued to work in banking for over 37 years.
Those left to cherish her memory include her sisters, Lorraine Lambert of Harts, WV and Yvonne (Steve) Cook of Virginia Beach, VA; brother, Terry “Tub” (Nina) Lucas of Harts, WV; sister-in-law, Rutha Lucas of Romulus, MI; niece, Amy (Philip) Day and her mother, Sandra (Dave) Nolte; cousin, Dottie Lucas; Nephews, Doran Lee Lambert, Barry (Crystal) Lucas, Bradley (April) Lucas, Terry Matthew (Kimberly) Lucas, Gregory (Patsy) Hysell, and Nicholas (Melissa) Hysell; great nephews and nieces, Connor, Andrew, Ben, Holden, Reid, Amelia Lucas, Blake Hysell, Madison Marcum, and McKenzie Lucas; and her good friend since college, Nancy Brown.
Visitation will be on Friday, September 15, 2023 from 6:00 to 9:00pm at Freeman Funeral Home with funeral services starting at 7:00pm with Jimmy Carter officiating.
Graveside service will be held Saturday, September 16, 2023 at 12:00pm at Lucas Cemetery, Harts, WV with Jimmy Carter officiating.
Pallbearers will be nephews, family, and friends.
