Estelle Vance

Estelle Vance, 89 of Chauncey, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at her sons residence in Jeffrey, WV.

She was born November 15, 1931 in Rockhouse Fork, Pigeon Creek, WV in Mingo County the daughter of the late Wade S. Gartin and Hazel (Neal) Gartin.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Deborah Carolyn White known as Cookie, her husbands, William Bill White Jr and Rev. Preston Vance, three sisters, Irene, Iva and Mable and one brother, Don.

Estelle attended Walnut Grove Church for many years, and worked as a nursing secretary at Logan General Hospital for 21 years.

Those left to cherish her memory include one son, William Mark White (Sandra K) of Jeffrey, WV; one daughter, Linda K White of Chapmanville; her grandchildren, William Ryan White of Bristol, TN, Shawn Bogg and Shelby Prater and children of Cow Creek, and Regina and Bo Bowling of Belfry, KY; great-grandchildren, Joshua Blackburn, Kristine Bowling, Courtney Bowling; a niece, Connie Price Ramey that was like a daughter to her and a special thanks to her caregiver, Brenda Stollings for her love and care whom Estelle loved dearly; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Estelle will be remembered as a loving mother, mamaw and dear friend. Her life was cut short but her loving spirit will always be with us.

Services will be held at 2:00pm, Sunday, October 31, 2021 at Freeman Funeral Home with Paul Little and Ralph Caudill officiating. Burial will follow at the Highland Memory Gardens, Old Logan Road, Chapmanville, WV.

Friends may call Sunday, October 31, 2021 from 1:00pm until 2:00pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
