Donna Marie Tomblin

Donna Marie (Grimmett) Tomblin, 65 of Dingess, WV, departed this life on February 2, 2025 at her residence.

She was born January 22, 1960 in Williamson, WV the daughter of Don Grimmett and the late Dorothy Grimmett.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Elmo & Shirley Fowler and Floyd & Muriel Grimmett.

Donna loved her church and her family. She was “Nanny” to everyone.

In addition to her father, those left to cherish her memory include one daughter, LaDonna (Buster) Tomblin; one son, Don Mart (Jennifer) Messer; two sisters, Dina (Porky) Tomblin and Debby (Jimmy) Durst; one brother, Donald Grimmett; six grandchildren, Allie (Derek) Spry, Addison (Tanieca) Messer, Edwin Murphy, Cody Padgett, James Messer and Jeremy Messer; five great grandchildren, Khloe Spry, Lillie Spry, Matthew Spry, Bentley Messer and Brynleigh Messer; and two special great nieces who was always with her, Haven Tomblin and Karley Newsome.

Services will be held at 1:00pm, Thursday, February 6, 2025 at the Mt. Hope Freewill Baptist Church with Greg Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at the Highland Memory Gardens, Old Logan Road, Chapmanville, WV.

Visitation will be on Thursday, February 6, 2025 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at the church.

Pallbearers will be Buster Tomblin, Addison Messer, Daniel Grimmett, Derek Spry, Nathan Tomblin and Edwin Murphy.

Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
