Donna Collins Obituary

Donna Faye Collins, 60 of Harts, WV, departed this life on January 25, 2023 at Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington, WV.

She was born September 9, 1962 in Hamlin, WV the daughter of the late Johnny & Juanita Bryant.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Virgil & Inez Ramey, brother, Roger Bryant, special aunt, Judy Queen, special niece, Joy Tomblin and her mother-in-law, Helen Collins.

Our family is completely heartbroken with the loss of our mom. She was a devoted wife, mother and Nana.  We will forever cherish and remember her for the loving, dedicated, selfless sweet soul that she was. She loved our dad for over 45 years. She complained about his messiness and driving, but wouldn't have it any other way. She was such a wonderful mother always putting her children first making countless sacrifices for our happiness. She raised us with morals and values that she herself was a role model. She did everything with honesty and integrity. Her greatest joy was being affectionately known as Nana to her two grandchildren, Kyler and Kerrigan. They were the light of her life, in which she had an active role in their everyday lives. Her world wasn't just built around them, they were her world. She looked forward to every minute spent with them, showering them with love and spoiling them as much as possible. Her days and nights were spent doing anything to put a smile on their faces. She was proud of their accomplishments and would light up at the mention of them. All she wanted was to watch them grow up. She shared a special bond with each of them that can never be broken. When her grandchildren were busy with school or extracurricular activities she doted on the family dog, Liberty. Our mom had a talent for being an amazing cook. She loved putting on her apron and making amazing meals and desserts for her family. She made every holiday special. She'd go out of her way to add even the smallest touch to show how much she cared. She was always the first to call on our birthdays. No phone call ended without her saying, I love you. She could spend hours shopping and we often teased her for being a hoarder. Mom loved reading, music, Diet Coke and Jesus. She was the backbone of our family. We're not sure what life will be like without her. We miss her already. We'll miss her phone calls and texts, Her advice and wisdom, Her support and encouragement. We're devastated to have to rely on memories of her voice and laughter. Her love was so pure. If we could hug her one more time. Just hold her tight. It still wouldn't be enough. She was rare and irreplaceable. There are no words to truly describe what she was and what she meant to us. Our hearts are filled with pain that we're sure will never go away.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, John Collins; two daughters, Crystal (Michael Myers) Collins and Kimberly (Nick) Blair; two grandchildren, Kyler Wyatt Blair and Kerrigan Nickelle Blair; one sister, Debbie Madacsi; two special friends, Myra Blair and Billie Frye; two special little boys she has babysat since birth, Bentley and Cruz Vance; and special cousin, Sonya Paugh.
