Donald Whitt Jr.

Donald Whitt Jr., 63, of Chapmanville, WV, departed this life on Sunday, May 7, 2023 at his residence.

He was born May 28, 1959 in Logan, WV, the son of the late Violet and Donald Whitt Sr.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his sister, Connie Mills; infant son; Donald Joseph Whitt, and his inlaws; Cleo and Millard Hall.

Donald was a faithful member at Mount Home FWB for fifteen years. Donald enjoyed rabbit and coon hunting. He loved attending ball games and coaching little league ball. Donald loved spending time with his family and grandkids.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of forty-five years, Patty Hall Whitt, two sons; Adam (Haley) Whitt and Jordan (Summer) Whitt, one sister; Carolyn Cook, one brother; Mike Whitt, seven grandchildren; Seth (Holly) Whitt, Caleb Whitt, Evan Whitt, Aubree Whitt, Natalie Belcher, Vanessa Whitt, and Avery Whitt (due in July), one great grandchild; Tucker Whitt (due in July), and one very special brother in law; Randy Hall. The family would like to thank all the staff at Davita Dialysis Center in Logan.

Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at Freeman Funeral Home with Ira Bryant and Dennie Evans officiating. Burial will follow at Whitt Cemetery, in Chapmanville, WV.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Chris Farley, Jeremy Whitt Jr., Jeremy Whitt Sr., Seth Whitt, Caleb Whitt, Evan Whitt, Justin Blankenship, and Blake Dalton.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Rusty Adams, Randell Bryant, and Tommy Hurst.
