Donald Floyd West, Sr

Donald Floyd West, Sr, 59 of Chapmanville, WV, departed this life on August 31, 2023 at his residence.

He was born March 22, 1964 in Logan, WV the son of the late Casey & Freda West.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Floyd West, Kizzie Adkins, Golden Hager and Lucinda Neace, brothers, Jerry Douglas West and Robert Lee West, a special brother-in-law, Roy Mann Sr, nephews, Clint Farris and Robert Lee West Jr and his father-in-law Larry Wooten.

Donald loved bluegrass music, playing guitar and banjo, he also loved to draw, do art and spend time with his grandchildren.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Leann West; daughters, Amber (West) Ghezzi and Angela (West) Hensley; son, Donald Floyd West Jr (Rebecca Harris); sisters, Nancy (West) Fowler, Arlena (West) Mann and Drema (West) Farris; his grandchildren, Nala Ghezzi, Larry Ghezzi, Isabella Ghezzi, Matthew Cooper, Julie West, Caroline West, Wyatt West and Connor Hensley; and his mother-in-law, Amanda Wooten.

Services will be held at 1:00pm, Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at Freeman Funeral Home with Ronnie Linville officiating. Burial will follow at the Dillon-Farris Cemetery, Harts, WV.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Donald West Jr, Jordan Moore, Paul Artist and other family and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made towards Donald's funeral expenses.

Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
