Donald Hollis Johnson, 78 of Branchland, WV formerly of Leesville, LA, departed this life on July 17, 2024 at Branchland, WV.

He was born June 26, 1946 in Leesville, LA the son of the late Hollis Alvie Johnson and Lillie Mae Johnson Hodges.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Johnson, grandparents, Silas L. Johnson, Eula Johnson, Colvin Johnson and Catherine Howard, daughter, Karissia Johnson, brothers, Travis Johnson, Troy Johnson, and Hollis Johnson Jr, half-brother, George “Sammy” Sweat, sisters, Frances Johnson, Jeanette Magallan and Vera Galavis and his in-laws, Everett Marion Baney and Lucy Belle Lockridge Baney.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughters, Rachael (Raymond) Kelley of Ranger, WV, Dedra (Chris) Toppings of Branchland and Amy Baney Sills of Indiana; sisters, Judy Semmons of Leesville, LA, Susie Johnson of Anacoco, LA and Eudawn Callahan of Leesville, LA; grandchildren, Robert (Jessica) Johnson, Ashli (Zachary) Miller, Schylar Kelley, Jaela-Anne (Mikey) Saddler, Laiylah and Braelynn Kelley, Kayson Toppings, Kerrington Toppings, Kaidon Toppings, Patricia (Rodney) Phillips, Marissia, Joshua and Katelyn Sills; great-grandchildren, Chelsie Johnson, Khloe Johnson, Robert “RJ” Johnson Jr, Rayleigh Hazelett, Gunner Salmons, Gracie Phillips, Ryleigh-Anne Phillips, Breanna Phillips, Tyson Miller, Skylynn Miller and Maria Saddler; great-great grandchildren, Cailynn Parkhurst, Khamia Brown and Khalani Brown; and his special friends, Kay Sias, Eva Midkiff and Roy Lee Blackburn.

Services will be held at 7:00pm, Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Rodney Linville officiating.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 from 6:00pm until 9:00pm at the funeral home.

Services will be held at 12:00pm, Friday, JULY 26, 2024, at the Drakes Fork Cemetery Church, Craven, LA with Brother Hardy Estes officiating, with visitation from beginning at 11:00am.
