Obituary

Donald R. Farmer Sr, 76, of Chapmanville, WV, peacefully departed this life on April 28, 2022 at his residence.

He was born October 26, 1945 in Logan, WV, the son of the late Leward & Opal Farmer.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carol A. Farmer, daughter, Diana J. Dillon, son, John F. Farmer, daughter, Delores A. Jude, brother, Manuel (Opal J.) Farmer and sister-in-law, Nancy K. Farmer.

Donald was a member of the Crossroads Community Church in Chapmanville. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Those left to cherish his memory include his two daughters, Tammy L. (Mark) Long of Chapmanville and Susan M. (TI) Pridemore of Wharton; three sons, Donald R. Jr (Hope) Farmer of Charleston, Andrew D. (Kathy) Farmer of Sod, and Brandon L. Farmer of Monroe, WA; one brother, Roger L. Farmer of Lancaster, OH; twenty grandchildren; thirty-two great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins that were very close and dear to him.

Services will be held at 1:00pm, Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at the Crossroads Community Church with Jerry Sutphin and Doug Sparks officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Pecks Mill, WV.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at the church.

Pallbearers will be Alex Adkins, Jason Farmer, Ryan Farmer, Arkie Lee Tomblin, Rodney Garrett and Allen Garrett.

Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
