Dollie Griffith, 81 of Harts, WV, departed this life on April 5, 2022 at St. Mary's Medical Center, Huntington, WV.
She was born November 2, 1940 in Harts, WV the daughter of the late General & Gladys (Castle) Meeks.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Griffith, five brothers, Don Meeks, Jess Meeks, Carlos Meeks, Ike Meeks and Leonard Adkins, and six sisters, Ethel Dalton, Sarah Dalton, Gracie Kinser, Marie Dunaway, Marge Toppings Marcum, Carrie Walker and Yantus Davis.
Dollie was a member of Chapman Memorial Freewill Baptist Church for 40 plus years. She loved going to church, working in her garden, spending time with family and making us her delicious chicken dumplings.
Those left to cherish her memory include one daughter, Patricia (Lan Holbrook); two sons, Kevin (Paula) and Brian (Revonda); three grandchildren, Travis (Aleah Spencer), Abby (Wesley McCann), and Kellie (Corey Stollings); one step-grandson to be, Braxton Holbrook; three great-grandchildren, Kolbie, Evan and Connor; and one brother, Gary (Alice) Meeks.
Services will be held at 1:00pm, Sunday, April 10, 2022 at Freeman Funeral Home with Kit Meade and Joe Triplett officiating. Burial will follow at the Sheppard-Kinser-Meeks Cemetery, Harts, WV.
Friends may call Sunday, April 10, 2022 from 12:00pm until 1:00pm at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Travis Griffith, Wesley McCann, Elvie Vance, Lan Holbrook, Roger McCann and Corey Stollings.
