Diana Gail Workman

Diana Gail Workman, 71, of Mount Gay, departed this life on Thursday, September 5, 2019 at Logan Regional Medical Center.

She was born August 16, 1948 in Logan, WV, the daughter of the late James Robert Workman and Nannie Stivers Workman.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Issac & Mollie Workman and Crit & Mollie Stivers; and one brother, Daniel Ray Workman.

Diana enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, along with doing crafts, yard work, and attending church. Anyone that knew Gail, knew her love for animals, to feed them and to feed anyone that came to her house hungry.

Those left to cherish her memory include one daughter, Lana Darlene Bishop; one son, Charles Eugene Bishop; four sisters, Linda Lou (Ireland) Vance; Irma Marie Workman Colegrove; Velda Louise Bryant, and Rebecca Jane (Dallas) Frye; two grandchildren, Shawna Lea (Jeremy) Workman and Shania Hope (Daniel) Topping; and three great-grandchildren, Jeremy Breylin Workman, Judah Alexzander Hoyt Topping, and Serenity Rayne Topping.

Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at Verdunville Church of God with Rev. Michael Hartwell officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens, Pecks Mill, WV.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Verdunville Church of God.

Pallbearers will be James David Vance, Brandon Colegrove, Daniel Topping, Randy Damron, Dickie Damron, Dallas Frye Jr., Scottie Bryant, and Tyrone Hunter. Honorary pallbearers will be Ireland Vance and Dallas Frye.

Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
