Dennis “Denny” Staines, 68 of Altoona, PA, departed this life on November 10, 2024 at Sharples, WV.

He was born October 2, 1956 in Altoona, PA the son of the late Arthur and Wilda Staines of Altoona, PA.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one sister, Lois Louise Ritchey; three brothers, Gary, Arthur Jr., and William Wayne; his father-in-law, Jimmy Daniel Baldwin and mother-in-law, Toby Carol Baldwin; and one brother-in-law, Jimmy Daniel Baldwin II.

Denny was member of IBEW local 5 for 35 plus years in Altoona, PA. He was an avid fan of Pittsburgh Penguins, Areosmith, and the Eagles band. Denny also enjoyed camping with his family and friends.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 21 years, Shelia (Baldwin) Staines; two daughters, Rachel (Samuel Bonsell) Staines and Laci Nicole Staines; one son, Brian (Destiny) Staines; two sisters, Nancy Steinbrunner and Wanda Snowberger; four grandchildren, Noah Staines, Emma Bassett, Micah Staines, and Olivia Staines; a host of many nieces and nephews; and the mother of his son and daughter, Barbara Staines.

To honor Denny's wishes, his remains will be cremated, and services will be held at a later date in Altoona, PA.
