Deborah Kinney Obituary

Deborah Lynn Kinney, 63, went home to Jesus on January 5, 2021. She died peacefully at the home of her sister, Brenda, in Cocoa, FL surrounded by her loved ones.

Born in Logan, WV, on December 10, 1957, she was a daughter of Louie and Lillie Chambers.

She attended Logan High School and Logan Central Junior High where she was thrilled to make the cheerleading squad. She loved her cheerleading years and she liked to tell people that she made some really good, lifelong friends during that time.

That spunky personality carried her through to the next chapter of her life, which began in 2009, and from there, the sky was the limit! She was blessed to be able to travel with friends and family all over the world to such places as Bermuda, the Florida Keys, Alaska, California, Maine and to one of her favorite places, the Outer Banks of North Carolina. She made many happy memories dipping her toes in the sand, taking walks and collecting sea beans, sand dollars and seashells each as pretty and as unique as herself.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Lillie Chambers.

Those left to cherish her memories include her son, Matt (Chrissy) Kinney, her father, Louie Chambers, sister Brenda (Don) Adkins and brother Jimmy (Mona) Chambers.

Services will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at 2 pm at Victory Freewill Baptist Church in Mill Creek, WV with Rev. Roscoe Chafin officiating. Burial will follow at the Chambers Family Cemetery in Mill Creek.

Friends may call Saturday, January 16, 2021 from 1-2 pm at the church.

Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.

Debbie will be missed greatly by her friends and family. To know her, was to love her. She has left this earthly soil but she will not be forgotten. Just as a grain of wheat must be planted in the ground in order for it to produce, as believers in Jesus Christ, we earnestly look forward to seeing her again on that resurrection morning when that which is buried will produce fruit eternally. She is not gone; she has just walked on ahead of us.

Friends and family have shared their relationship to show their support.
