David Odell Conley, 47 of Chauncey, WV, went home to be with the Lord on March 22, 2026 at his residence.

He was born August 26, 1978 in Logan, WV the son of Archie & Ruby Blair Conley and his biological father, David Isaacs.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Archie & Ruby Blair Conley, grandparents, Sid & Norma Conley. and Odell and Fran Isaacs and his brothers, Archie (Patcher) Conley and Jerry (Johnny) Conley.

David worked many years underground as an Electrician for Kanawha Eagle until his illness. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on vehicles, spending time with his family and friends and playing with his dog Boomer. He loved to joke and make everyone around him laugh.

Those left to cherish his memory include his son Jayden Conley; sisters, Naomi (Lewis) Roach of Whitman, Kathy (Darrell) Sheppard of Peach Creek, Joan (Donald) Hatfield of Fort Gay; his biological father, David Isaacs; nieces and nephews Pete (Christy) Conley of Chauncey, Racheal (Chris) Hale of Sarah Ann, Bobbie “Little Maggie” Nelson of Peach Creek, Lewis (Juney) Roach of Chauncey, Adam Roach of Whitman. Joni Morgan of Gilbert, Donald Hatfield II of Dingess; and his great nieces and nephews, Goldie Hensley of Chauncey, Sarah, Landon, Jaxon Roach, Mariah, Nyla Harvey and Bentlee May all of Chauncey. Kyler, Kylee, Kreed Nelson of Peach Creek, Jacob Egnor of Sarah Ann.

Special thanks to Brandon Farley for staying and helping take care of David during his illness.

Services will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday, March 28, 2026 at Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Scottie Watkins officiating. Burial will follow at the Conley Family Cemetery, Verdunville, WV.

Visitation will be on Saturday, March 28, 2026 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Jayden Conley, Jacob Egnor, Zach Morgan, Tyler Morgan, Lewis (Homer) Roach, Adam Roach and Darrell Sheppard II.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Darrell Sheppard, Lewis Roach Sr. David Isaacs, Landon Roach, Jaxon Roach, Shawn Watkins, Greg Tomblin, and Frank Butcher.

Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
