David Lee Lucas, 75 of Ferrellsburg, WV, departed this life on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at his residence, Ferrellsburg, WV.

He was born October 9, 1949, in Accoville, WV, the son of Grace Lucas and the late Clyde Lucas.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Augustus and Josephine Lucas; maternal grandparents, Virgil and Fern Crane; father and mother-in law, Charlie and Betty Paris; and his first wife, Glenna Fry Lucas.

David was the Pastor of Ferrellsburg Church of Christ. He enjoyed fishing at his camp on the new river, Hinton, WV, gardening and being a chauffeur for his grandkids.

In addition to his mother, those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Judy Lucas; daughter, Melanie (Jon) Lucas-Miller; step-daughter, Alicia (Ben) Stafford; son, Josh (Gina) Lucas; step-son, Jody Ferrell; sister, Sheila (Steve) Propst; brother, Tom (Vicki) Lucas; grandchildren, Whitney Groves, Madison Eastwood, Andrew Eastwood, Ian Miller, Keldon, Bristol, Bella, Ivy, Teddie and Toby Lucas; great-grandchildren, Hayden, Shaelynn, Payton, Evie and Lennie; step-grandchildren, Shade, Gavin and Savannah; and best friend, Harry Kirk.

Visitation will be on Monday, February 24, 2025, from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at Freeman Funeral Home with Van Collins officiating. Burial be at the Oakview Cemetery, Big Ugly, WV.
