David Franklin Dalton

David Franklin Dalton, 62, of Chapmanville, WV, departed this life on January 29, 2021 at his residence. 

He was born August 25, 1958 in Logan, WV, the son of Tina Mae Dalton and the late Ossie Buck Dalton. 

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife of 39 years, Dollie Ann Dalton grandparents, Frank & Annie Dalton, Wesley Stollings and Flurise Conley and his father and mother-in-law, Rev. Lacy Spry & Opal Spry. 

David enjoyed spending time with family and friends, coon hunting and playing the guitar.  He served God for many years and was a Deacon and member of the Mudfork Freewill Baptist Church.  David loved telling others about the Lord. 

In addition to his mother, those left to cherish his memory include two daughters, Tina & Archie Conley and Tashia & Tommy Mullins; two sisters, Dinah & Rev. David McCloud and Arella & Ronald Brumfield; three brothers, Wendell & Lois Dalton, James & Trish Dalton and Marvin Dalton; one sister-in-law, Vickie Dalton; seven grandchildren, Ethan Conley, Dakota & Rachel Conley, Malin Conley, Taylor Conley, Braxton & Katie Browning, Chesney Mullins and Trinity Mullins; three great-grandchildren, Jasper Conley, Elijah Conley and Banner Browning; and his special friends, Archie Conley, Butch & Sue Watkins, Raymond Conley, Junebug & Ferba Thompson, Lucian & Sally Maynard, Marlon Collins, his coon hunting buddy, Harrison Collins and Pastor Elbert Collins Jr. 

Services will be held at 1:00pm, Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at the Mudfork Freewill Baptist Church with David McCloud and Elbert Collins Jr officiating. Burial will follow at the Frank Dalton Cemetery, Harts, WV. 

Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 from 12:00pm until 1:00pm at the church. 

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
