Darrell “Ace” George Freeman, 42 of Harts, WV, departed this life on November 12, 2024 in Chapmanville, WV.

He was born April 24, 1982, in Huntington, WV, the son of Darrell (Donna) Freeman and Gwendolyn (Roy) Newsome.

He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, George & Melva Dempsey, paternal grandparents, Earnest Freeman and Marlene Johnson, uncles, Ed and Eric Freeman and a very special aunt, Wilma (Fred) Jones.

Ace was a 1999 graduate of Harts High School. He was a graduate of West Virginia State University with a degree in Psychology. Ace was a smooth talker who always referred to the ladies as sweetheart or honey. He had a bigger than life personality and was always ready for a good time. Ace was kind, compassionate and always tried to help others. A few memories of Ace are his announcing at Harts High School Basketball games, his big heart for others and his love for his family and friends. Ace enjoyed fishing and he had a love for wrestling.

In addition to his parents and stepparents, those left to cherish his memory include is two beautiful precious daughters, Alissa and Melia Freeman; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Ace is deeply loved and will be missed forever.

Services will be held at 2:00pm, Friday, November 22, 2024, at Freeman Funeral Home with Jimmy Carter and Alvis Porter, Jr officiating. Burial will follow at the Highland Memory Gardens, Old Logan Road, Chapmanville, WV.

Visitation will be on Friday, November 22, 2024, from 12pm to 2pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Brad Napier, Justin Dempsey, Tommy Gibson, Josh Barker, Johnny Burgess, Dez Napier, JL Thompson and Greg Browning.
