Danny Carl Scaggs, 69 of Chapmanville, WV, departed this life on June 26, 2025 at CAMC Memorial Hospital, in Charleston, WV.

He was born May 14, 1956 in Chapmanville, WV the son of the late Caisy & Sarah Scaggs.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Kyle (Mary) Scaggs and Freddie Joe Scaggs, his father-in-law, Clyde Curry and his mother-in-law, Marie Collins.

Danny enjoyed fishing, football games, helping others and spending time with family and friends.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Jackie Curry Scaggs; his daughter, Angie (Kevin) Stollings; three grandchildren, Elijah Stollings, Hannah Stollings (Tyler Spurrier) and Seth Stollings; and two great-grandchildren, Carter Baldwin and Adaline Stollings.

Services will be held at 2:00pm, Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at Freeman Funeral Home with Rev. Roscoe Chafin officiating. Burial will follow at the Scaggs Cemetery, in Chapmanville, WV.

Visitation will be on Monday, June 30, 2025 from 6:00pm until 9:00pm at the funeral home

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
