Obituary

Dallas Ray “Bub” Frye Jr, 35, of Verdunville, WV, received his promotion from this world to his heavenly home on November 11, 2021.

He was born August 20, 1986 in Logan, WV, to his adoring parents, Rebecca Frye and the late Dallas Frye.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harmon & Florence Frye and James & Nannie Workman, one brother-in-law, Robbie Shelton, and three fur babies, Domino, Perro and Ellie.

Dallas three older sisters couldn't wait for his arrival to shower him with love and attention. His arrival was celebrated with cheers of excitement, thankful hearts and tears of joy. Dallas was an answered prayer that made the Frye family complete. He was a 2004 Honor graduate from Logan High School. Dallas earned his Bachelor's Degree with honors at Marshall University, and was currently employed with WV Choice. He was a member of the Verdunville Church of God. Dallas was a humble man with a kind heart and meek spirit. He lived his life with a serving attitude; one full of compassion and patience. His willingness to help truly impacted those around him. Dallas meant so much to so many. To his friends and co-coworkers, he was loyal, honest, quick witted and funny. To his neighbors, he was respectful, helpful, encouraging, and welcoming. To his family, he was loving, sensitive and understanding. To his sisters, he was vulnerable, tender, and treasured. To his parents, he was their handsome blue eyed baby boy, their pride and joy, a nurturing caregiver, and truly a life-saver. To his nephews and niece, he was a best friend, hero, protector, mentor, father figure and big brother. He sacrificed himself to give in every way he possibly could. Dallas appreciated the simplicity of life, he asked for very little and was always thankful. He was an amazing cook, gave big hugs, had an infectious laugh, and a warm smile. Dallas enjoyed a good political conversation, watching the news, end time Bible prophecy, listening to music, working in his garden, beach trips and Tennessee. More than anything, he cherished family time and being a proud uncle to “his” kids.

In addition to his loving mother, those left to cherish his memory include three sisters, Cindie (Greg) York, Michelle (Josh) Welch and Crystal Frye; one niece, Allonah York (his prayer warrior); four nephews, Jordan Simpson, Cameron Simpson, Kaden Welch and Noah York; extended family and friends.

One day, the Frye family will share the same address again for all eternity. Until that day, Bubby will live on in the hearts and minds of those who knew and loved him.

Services will be held at 1:00pm, Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at the Verdunville Church of God with Michael Hartwell and Greg York officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens, Old Logan Road, Chapmanville, WV.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 from 6:00pm until 9:00pm at the church.
