Curtis & Geraldine Stollings

Curtis Stollings, 81 and Geraldine Stollings, 85 both of Chapmanville, WV, departed this life on Monday, September 27, 2021 and Sunday, September 26, 2021 both at CAMC Hospitals in Charleston, WV.

Curt was born April 27, 1940 in Chapmanville, WV a son of the late Floyd Stollings and Meda Baisden. Geri was born August 3, 1936 in Chicago, IL a daughter of the late Leon and Anna Napientek.

In addition to their parents they were preceded in death by Curt's former wife, Audrey Stollings, and their siblings and in-laws, Lou Palys, Emily Anderson, Janko Napientek, Thomas Stollings, Avonelle Grubbs, James Floyd Stollings, Clifford Stollings, Juanita Tackett, and Brenda Billups.

Geri enjoyed playing cards, visiting family, discovering family genealogy, traveling to her ancestors beginnings and Sokol Slovak heritage. Curt enjoyed hunting, golf, molly mooching hunting with his siblings, fishing, playing cards and spending time with family.

Curt and Geri lived an epic love story.

Those left to cherish their memory include their ten children, Mark (Deborah) Friel, James Friel, Kathleen (William) Covers, Mike Stollings, John (Laura) Friel, Karen Stollings, Thomas (Jaime) Friel, Jami (Robert) Stollings-Kinnunen, Anna (Joseph) Kosar, and Joseph Stollings; siblings, Donna Clark (Bill Clinge), Bobby Dale (Lillian “Kay”) Tackett, Loretta (Jackie) Smith, Cheryl (Thearn “Chipper”) Keefer, Cathy (Gary) Gore and Sue Lester; twenty-six grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren that they loved dearly; and a host of nieces, nephews and beloved church family.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm, Sunday, October 3, 2021 at Freeman Funeral Home with Ronnie Linville officiating.

Visitation will be Sunday, October 3, 2021 from 12:00pm until 2:00pm at the funeral home.
