Cleveland Ramey, 70 of Switzer, WV, departed this life on August 24, 2024 at his residence.

He was born June 1, 1954 in Logan, WV the son of the late Steve & Dona Ramey.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Teresa Earnestine Ramey, daughter, Clevina Hackney, grandson, Gabriel Webb, grandparents, Cleveland & Nancy Ramey, and Thomas & Malinda Queen, brother-in-law, Jerry Manns, and his in-laws, Ben & Elenore Browning.

Cleveland was a machinist for 30+ years. He loved his girls and all the grandkids. Cleveland was a veteran and was honorably discharged on August 10, 1978.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughters, Stevina Workman and Sandra (Randall) Nelson; stepsons, William Hammonds and Ronnie Hammonds; grandchildren, Brandon Webb, Kaylee Nelson, Joshua Nelson, Christopher Nelson, Randall Nelson Jr, Cleveland Tyler Ramey, Jayden Workman and Cleveland Hammonds; great grandchildren, Madilynn Kay Furr, and Karson Nelson (due 12/28/24), step great-grandson, Hudson Browning.

Services will be held at 1:00pm, Thursday, August 29, 2024 at Freeman Funeral Home with Gary Queen officiating. Burial will follow at the Forest Lawn Cemetery, Pecks Mill, WV.

Visitation will be on Thursday, August 29, 2024 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Honorary pallbearers will be Randall Nelson.
