Claudine Maynard, 86, of Holden, WV, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 9, 2025, at Edgewood Summit, Charleston, WV.

She was born November 14, 1938. A lifelong resident of Holden, Claudine was the daughter of the late Wetzel and Cynthia Bradshaw Maynard.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death a by brother, Virgil Maynard, and sisters, Irene Rucker and Ileta McCallister.

Claudine was a member of Central United Baptist Church for 65 years where she served as church secretary. She was a retired employee of Island Creek Coal Company and Social Security Administration. Claudine loved the outdoors and spending time at the family farm. She was an artist, seamstress, avid gardener, and family genealogist. Claudine's devotion to her mother was unparalleled.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sister, LaVerne Hall; special nieces and nephew, Dianna Perdue, Linda Brennan, Beth Elmore and Kevin McCallister; numerous nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 11:00am, Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at Central United Baptist Church with Kevin Conley and Bill Wooten officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens, Chapmanville, WV.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, from 10:00am to 11:00am at the church.

Pallbearers will be Kevin and Kim Jon McCallister, Jeff and Joe Hall, Ethan and Jared McCallister, and Jon Elliot and Patrick Brennan.
