Chris Clinton Freeman, 67, of Lake, WV, departed this life on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at Logan Regional Medical Center.
He was born July 19, 1952 in Madison, WV, the son of the late James Freeman and Eleanor Ball.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Christa Dawn (Freeman) Ellis; and his ex-wife, Debra “Debbie” Rice-Green.
Chris loved his family and dogs more than anything. He had a passion for chickens all the way until the end. Chris liked to sit and watch football, westerns, and wrestling. He also loved to see old friends and have a good time.
Those left to cherish his memory include his life companion, Emma Freeman of Lake, WV; two sons, Christopher James (Margaret Curry) Freeman of Hickory, NC, and Ken Allen “Spin” (Kim) Fair of Conover, NC; one daughter, Rhonda Lynn Freeman- Canterbury of Lake, WV; three sisters, Ladonna Freeman of Lake, WV, Theresa Freeman, and Barbara Freeman of New Boston, OH; three brothers, Bruce Freeman of Kansas City, MO, Brian Freeman of Ashland, KY, and Brent Freeman of Morgantown, WV; four grandchildren, Chilio Rushelle Ellis, Brandon Shawn Ellis, Cheyann Rushelle (Zack) Cline, and George Taylor Canterbury; one great-grandchild, Lilith Raylyn Canterbury; two nephews, Dickie Dingess and Travis (Sonja) Dingess; life long friends, Roger (Rita) Smith and Deebo Kincaid.
The family will hold a quiet private ceremony with Roger Smith officiating at Ball Cemetery in Jeffery, WV on Wednesday, March 11, 2020.
