Charles “Hillbilly” Marcum, 52 of Dingess, WV, departed this life on November 24, 2025 at his residence.

He was born April 23, 1973 in Harrisburg, IL the son of Judy Allene Marcum and the late Stanley Gene Marcum.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Flem & Dixie Marcum and John & Grapel Rose Whaley.

Hillbilly was a truck driver/mechanic and enjoyed working on his truck “old red”.

In addition to his mother, those left to cherish his memory include one daughter, Samantha (Austin); one son, Charles; two brothers, Timothy (Lisa) DeRamcy and Stanley (Amber) Marcum; four grandchildren, Bentley, Charlie, Evie and Shelia; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends.

Services will be held at 1:00pm, Friday, November 28, 2025 at Freeman Funeral Home with Bryant Meade officiating. Burial will follow at the Marcum – Deskins Cemetery at Dingess, WV.

Visitation will be on Friday, November 28, 2025 from 12:00pm – 1:00pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
