Cassandra Cooper, 42 of Gordon, WV formerly of Parkersburg, WV, departed this life on December 1, 2025 at her residence.

She was born September 16, 1983 in Parkersburg, WV the daughter of the late Hayward Deel and Gloria Deel.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Tonika Urso and one granddaughter, Sophia Board.

Cassandra enjoyed rock hunting, adventures, playing with the grandbabies and cooking.

Those left to cherish her memory include her companion, Terry Lambert; daughter, Kyra Cooper (Austin Board); one son, Curtis (Jeplyn) Cooper; two sisters, Michelle Dunsmore and Donna Deel; four brothers, Dean Deel, Shane Deel, Shawn Deel and Jason Deel; four grandchildren, Legend Cooper, Legacy Cooper, Miles Board and Axle Board.

Services will be held at 1:00pm, Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at Freeman Funeral Home with Ralph Caudill and Frankie Caudill officiating. Burial will follow at the Cooper Family Cemetery, Hewett, WV.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 from 12:00pm until 1:00pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Shawn Deel, Dean Deel, Shane Deel, Curtis Cooper, Terry Lambert and Taylor Board.

Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
