Calvin Eugene Freeman, 82, of West Logan, WV, departed this life on May 17, 2021 at Logan Regional Medical Center.
He was born September 18, 1938 in Neibert, WV, the son of the late Clarence & Beulah Cook Freeman.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Odessa Faye Freeman, one son, Clarence “Eddie” Freeman Sr, grandparents, Calvin Freeman, Annie Criscillis, James Cook and Nancy Elkins, two grandchildren, Jimmy Joe and Florence, three brothers, David, Jimmy and Jeff Freeman, and his father and mother-in-law, Archie Frazier Sr and Junie Wiley Frazier.
Calvin loved his family, was strong in his faith and loved to minister and preach the word of God.
Those left to cherish his memory include two daughters, Jill Freeman of West Logan and June & Bobby Tackett of Logan; four sons, Calvin “Gene” Jr & Dreama Freeman of Ranger, WV, Chris Freeman of Myrtle Beach, SC, Benjamin & Paula Freeman of West Logan and Charles David Freeman of West Logan; sixteen grandchildren, Calvin, Tristan, Kevin, John, Scott, Joshua, Samantha, Joey, Mary Faye, Brittany, Eddie, Kelsey, Andrew, Brandon, Stephanie and Alex; two sisters, Doris (Bob) Queen and Sherry (Gary) Adkins; and one brother, Ed (Vanessa) Freeman.
Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, May 21, 2021 at Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor John Workman officiating. Burial will follow at the Webb Cemetery, Kiahsville, WV.
Visitation will be on Friday, May 21, 2021 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Freeman, Scottie Sova, Andrew Freeman, Eddie Freeman, Kevin Freeman, Alex McKenzie, Brayden Sova and Will Sova.
