Burgess Cantrell

Burgess Jonathan Norman Cantrell, 47, of Harts, WV, departed this life on Friday, September 10, 2021 at Logan Regional Medical Center.

He was born May 23, 1974 in Williamson, KY, the son of the late Burgess “Buck” Cantrell and Kathy Hinkle.

In addition to his parents, He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ethel Cantrell and Brenda Hinkle; and one son, Jonathan Tyler Cantrell.

Burgess enjoyed riding motorcycles and 4-wheelers, fishing, and spending time with family.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Melissa Gail Cantrell; five daughters, Shannon (Daryl Crisp) Cantrell, Pamella (Jeff) Francis, Lynna Cantrell, Sierra Rayann Conley, and Erin Lee Conley; six sisters, Vicki Frye, Jennifer Davis Ferguson, Porche (Dillon) Cantrell, Debbie (Jimmy) Jeffrey, Ann (Randy) Bishop, and Amanda Gillman; two brothers, Michael (Rachel) Cantrell and Scottie (Hope) Freeman; six grandchildren, MaKayla, Aurora, Baylee, Mayhaylee, Braelyn, and Gatlyn; grandfather, Dwight Hinkle; and special friends, William Casto and Jace Carver.

Services will be held at 7:00 pm, Friday, September 17, 2021 at Freeman Funeral Home with Billy Mitchell officiating.

Visitation will be on Friday, September 17, 2021 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Freeman Funeral Home.
