Brenda Sue (Curry) Frye

Brenda Sue Curry Frye, 71 of Chapmanville, WV, departed this life on June 16, 2020. 

She was born May 16, 1949 she was the daughter of the late Lewis “Cap” Curry and Zelda Neace Curry Jarrell. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father Andrew Jarrell. 

Brenda was a past member of The Chapmanville Church of God and The First Church of Christ in Chapmanville. She was an active member of the women's auxiliary. Brenda helped with fundraising for several youth organizations including the church of God's home for children. Brenda never met a child that she didn't love and adore. She always provided all that she could for every child. Brenda loved traveling and spending time with family and friends. 

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 52 years Earnest W. Frye of Chapmanville; three daughters, Tammy (John) Craddock of Chapmanville, Melissa (Joseph Self) of Knoxville, TN and Savannah (Patrick) Purkey of Calera, AL;  six grandchildren, Jason (Brookie) Craddock, Bobby Craddock, Jamie Grimmett, Emily Craddock, Laylah Craddock, and Joshua (Karen) Frye; and nine great grandchildren, Ryan, Sam and JT Craddock, Kyndle Frye, Graylen Whitener, Caden Purkey Sophia Bryant, Liam Bryant and Penelope Purkey. Brenda is also survived by her special friend and nephew Sue and Tommy Curry of Chapmanville. 

A visitation will be held at 2 pm to 4 pm, Saturday, June 20, 2020 at Freeman funeral home.
